Forming/ Pressing

Cleaning contaminated air from different forming, rolling and pressing processes is quite demanding. But not for Absolent. Instead of focusing on poor indoor air quality or filter maintenance the Absolent customer can focus on their manufacturing process. For some of our customers it’s been a decade since they even touched their filter units, no maintenance whatsoever. That is an amazing result and we are so proud of it!

When metals are formed, rolled or pressed oil smoke arises. This is a result of the oil in the process being heated up by friction. If the oil smoke is allowed to escape from the machine, it will eventually contaminate both the indoor and outdoor environment.

When working with of oil smoke there are several difficult tasks to solve. First of all the extraction point needs to be properly designed to keep contaminated air from escaping from the machine. If additives like graphite or soap are used, special attention is required. Last but not least there will be a large amount of tiny oil smoke particles, smaller than 1 micron. Absolent has successfully installed filter units in many rolling mills and bolt making industries around the world. Today these customers can concentrate on their manufacturing processes while we focus on providing clean air at a low life cycle cost.
